The candidates: Monique Breaz

Since April I 2016 have been employed as research assistant at the Chair of Marketing, with focus on Consumer Behaviour, and in October 2016 I started my PhD studies. Previously, I gained a master degree in International Relations and basically I have always been interested in political aspects of the various institutions and leading committees. Therefore, I seized the opportunity to become PhD students’ representative of the Faculty of Economics in June 2017. During my term of office I had the chance to discuss urging problems of PhD students at Göttingen University with colleagues and to suggest appropriate changes.

Candidacy details

Even though I learned a lot during my time as PhD students’ representative of the Faculty of Economics, one of the most severe causes for frustration was the lack of voting rights. Also, as prospective GGG PhD students’ representative, I want to take up an issue which I think is quite important: I want to extend the range of opportunities for cooperation between PhD students and industry, in order to support future career options.
