(mostly in German) It does not always have to be science: Career prospects in the field of “Mobility” – GGG alumni talk on May 20, 2019

You have been wondering about what to do after completing your doctorate? Staying in academia is only one option, as a doctorate (in the field of social sciences) opens up far more possibilities. In order to show you some of these options, alumni will talk about their own experience on the way to and in positions outside academia. Therefore, in the run-up to the Praxisbörse 2019, we would like to invite you to join us for a Round Table in German language at the Conference Center by the Observatory on May 20, 2019, from 06:00 to 09:00 pm. Discussion in English is welcome, too.Mobilitaet_3_zuschnittSeveral alumni will talk (in German) about their current position and how they got there, what defines their work and what was crucial on their way. Amongst others, Dr. Anne Wiese (PhD at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and today Mangement for Corporate Responsibility at the GLS Group / General Logistics Systems Germany GmbH & Co. OHG), Dr. Torsten Halwas (PhD at the Faculty of Law and today at the Law Department of the city of Karlsruhe / Stadtrechtsdirektor der Rechtsabteilung der städtischen Verkehrsgesellschaften in Karlsruhe) and Dr. Alfred Benedikt Brendel (PhD at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and today Head of Smart Mobility Research Group in Göttingen) will be present. After the talk there will be time to ask your own questions and to chat while having some drinks and snacks.
Based on „Praxismodule“, this year’s alumni talk on career paths will focus on careers in the field of mobility.
