Alumni talk: „Europe in crisis – what does Covid-19 mean for political and economic Europe?“ (Oct 14, 2020)

GGG-alumnus Dr. Lasse Becker will give a presentation and host a discussion on the political and economic effects of the corona pandemic in Europe.

The Corona crisis is the biggest crisis in the history of the European Union since its foundation. In the first few weeks of the pandemic, the response of the European Community seemed rather subdued and irrelevant. With a European Reconstruction Fund, the European Union is now trying to find an appropriate answer to the crisis and to reduce the existing tensions between the EU member states.

Are the taken measures comprehensible and justifiable for all of Europe? What are the lessons from the current situation for politics, but also for companies and economic actors? Which challenges are there for companies and which for politics?

The talk will be taking place online on Oct 14, 2020 (19:00). For further details and access data see www.alumni-goettingen.de/termine/europe-in-crisis-what-does-covid-19-mean-for-political-and-economic-eu/
