Holiday care for school children of university employees

In cooperation with the day care association “Kindertagespflege Göttingen e.V.” the FamilyService at University of Göttingen is once again offering two attractive, all-day summer holiday programmes for children aged 6 to 12. The parental contribution for one week of holiday care is 145 euro. Registration is now possible.

In the first week of the summer holidays, 10 – 14 July 2023, your children will go on an expedition trough the Forum Wissen and the collections of the university. Their creativity is given lots of room. Exhibits will be designed with the help of different materials. In the end the results will be displayed in an exhibition. We hope that your children will invite you as well as ourselves to the grand opening of the exhibition on Friday afternoon. Your children’s works of art can of course be taken home afterwards.

In the second week of the summer holidays, 17 – 21 July 2023, children will learn about organic farming. Every day, a shuttle service will take the children to the international school farm in Hevensen and drive them back to the university. A delicious lunch from the farm´s own organic cuisine is included in the programme.

In order to be able to offer these two holiday programme weeks, the university covers a significant part of the costs. Participation in the holiday programme is therefore not possible for external persons.

We ask you to register as soon as possible: From end of April, we will be allocating free contingents to other university members and UMG employees.
