Call for Papers: Agency in Time (Application until 01.07.2023)
The Heidelberg Graduate School for the Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking experts at various stages in their academic careers (PhD candidates, postdocs, professors) in inter- and transdisciplinary studies to join us for the 2023 HGGS Forum: Agency in Time, where you have the chance to take part in our engaging and exciting gathering of talented researchers from around the world including a keynote lecture with a world-renowned expert in the field. Participants will deliver presentations on the relationship between agency and time, and how these themes interact in the humanities and social sciences. We welcome submissions from experts in all disciplines and sub-disciplines within the humanities and social sciences.
At this year’s Forum, we are experimenting with different visions of expressing and communicating scholarly findings. Participants are therefore free to propose a classical paper presentation, video collage, or poetry slam composition discussing their research. In addition, there is going to be a competition with short presentations of five minutes each.
We invite applicants to submit an abstract of no more than 300 words for papers of 2500-3000 words in length to hggsforum2023@gmail.com by July 1, along with a short biographical introduction including your name, surname, research interests, subject area, and institutional affiliation where applicable. We only require the abstract by this date; the final paper can be submitted after participants have received a formal invitation, which will be sent before August 1. The HGGS Forum will take place at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (Heidelberg, Germany) on 8 September 2023.
