Call for Papers for the “Genderlabor” for Winter Semester 2017/2018
The “Genderlabor” (‘Gender-Lab’) of the Goettingen Centre for Gender Studies (GCG) serves as a platform for bachelor and master students as well as PhD students and postdocs to present and discuss their research projects. Until August 22, 2017 it is possible to submit papers with topics in the area of gender studies for the upcoming “Genderlabor”.
Please send an informal mail with your name, your course of studies or research area, the title of your lecture (with clarifying subtitle if needed) and a short summary (maximum 400 words) to the organizing team Dr. Konstanze Hanitzsch (konstanze.hanitzsch@zentr.uni-goettingen.de) and Julia Schwanke (julia.schwanke@stud.uni-goettingen.de).
The „Genderlabor“ has been established in cooperation with GGG and GSGG. On the one hand, the “Genderlabor” is intended to improve the visibility of gender studies in Göttingen; on the other hand it aims to provide an opportunity for young researchers to discuss their work in public and to network.
In winter semester 2017/18 the “Genderlabor” will take place six times on Thursdays, 6.15 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. Ways and manners of the presentation will be up to the invited speakers and can range from a 45-minutes lecture to a moderated or commentated round table with following public discussion. If desired, commentators and/or discussants can be sought out in cooperation with the “Genderlabor” team.
