Higher education didactics workshop “Intercultural Competencies for Teachers” on September 22, 2017

Within the event series “’All Equally Different!?’ Diversity in theory and practice” there will be a workshop on “Intercultural Competences for Teachers” in cooperation with Teaching and Learning in Higher Education on September 22, 2017.

This workshop aims to reflect upon challenges encountered by teachers in everyday work: What kind of ideas guide me in my teaching? How do I establish a productive teaching/learning atmosphere in order to enable all students to participate successfully? How do I deal with my own insecurity, for example when I feel not taken seriously due to my gender, and when and where do I meet such discomfort? Together we will analyze situations and identify aspects of discrimination-sensitive teaching.

This workshop will be given by Tanja Chawla at Waldweg 26, room 3.117/3.119 (wing I, 3rd floor) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Target group are lecturers of all faculties.
