Inclusion with regard to gender equality

In September 2018, the project for inclusion of female PhD students with chronic diseases or disabilities (funded by Göttingen University’s Equal Opportunities Innovation Funding) was launched, as we reported in our last newsletter. Now, first events are planned:

The first meeting „Biografiezirkel“ is scheduled for January 2019. We cordially invite female PhD students with chronic diseases or disabilities who would like to connect and discuss topics like problems in everyday research or stories of success in a confidential atmosphere. If you are interested, please contact Britta Korkowsky (Tel. 39 28219, ggg@uni-goettingen.de).

On January 22, 2019, Dr. Christina Ernst (Alumna of Göttingen University) and Prof. Dr. Jan Hermelink, who was her supervisor, will give a talk on their experience during PhD studies and PhD supervision for the interested public.

On May 16, 2019, Susanne Groth (Köln University, project PROMI) will give a talk on PhD studies, inclusion and possible arrangements for compensation of disadvantages.
