Workshop for PhD students and postdocs: How much start-up potential does your PhD have? Develop your business idea! (26.05.-27.05. und 18.06.-19.6.2020)

You are a PhD student or Postdoc and want to take your career into your own hands, but you don’t have a business idea yet? Then this “Young Entrepreneurs in Science”-workshop is for you! Entrepreneurial thinking does not start with a business plan or even a business idea. Rather, our approach is to ask: “What if you had to live off your PhD project/research project?“ Participants will receive insights into their innovative potential and new career and development perspectives. You will get to know state of the art methods like Design Thinking and be encouraged to recognize and contribute your already existing skills and potential to the program.

This initiative by the Falling Walls foundation, developed in cooperation with partners in the fields of science and economics, communicates entrepreneurial skills and expertise to develop the drive for entrepreneurship amongst young scientists early on. This workshop is organized by the Falling Walls Foundation in cooperation with the University of Göttingen’s start-up support team, the University of Kassel, the University of Hanover, the TU Clausthal, the TU Braunschweig and Sartorius. Participation is free and mandatory for all four days. The workshop will be held either in English or German, depending on the participants.

If the workshop cannot take place in person, online-workshops will be offered.
