Workshop for the development of a transfer strategy – Invitation for 16 September 2021 (German)
Dear students, PhD students, PostDocs and employees,
the mission statement of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is „in publica commoda – for the benefit of all“ – and according to this motto, in addition to the goal of excellent research and teaching, the so-called “Third Mission” is increasingly moving into the focus of many universities. This term is used to describe various activities of interaction between universities and society, including knowledge and technology transfer, science-based spin-offs, but also science communication and continuing education.
In order to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge, competencies and technologies from the university to society and the economy, an interdisciplinary team headed by Prof. Kilian Bizer has been commissioned to develop a central transfer strategy for the university. For this purpose, the experiences of researchers, staff and students are to be included. In the first half of the year, four workshops have already been held on the topics of social innovation, life science, metrology, and data science and digitization, in which scientists discussed the hurdles and needs in transfer activities. In another workshop on 16 September 2021, presumably from 10 am to 12 pm, we would like to invite you as students, PhD students, PostDocs and research assistants of the university to discuss important contents and focal points of a university transfer strategy.
Registrations for the workshop are requested by 10 September 2021 via email to kerstin.nies@uni-goettingen.de. The access data for the online event will be sent to you afterwards. Please note that the workshop will be held in German. If you have any queries, please also feel free to contact us.
With best regards
